Hershey Chocolate Brownies

1/2 cup butter/margarine

4 eggs

1 16 oz. Hershey Chocolate

1 cup sugar

1 cup flower

Mix together & bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes

Frosting: 6 Tbsp. butter/margarine, 6 Tbsp. milk, 1 cup sugar.  Boil 1 minute and add 1/2 cup chocolate chips.

 

 

Orange Dreamsicle

1 package sugar free orange jello

1 package sugar free instant vanilla pudding

1 - 11oz. can mandarin oranges (drained)

1 8 oz. tub fat free cool whip

Dissolve jello in 1 cup hot water.  Add 1 cup cold water, let set for 5 minutes.  With mixer blend in pudding mix.  Stir in oranges & fold in cool whip.  Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.

 

 

Easy Crescent Bars

2 tubes crescent rolls

2 8oz. package philly cream cheese

1 egg

1/2 cup sugar

Spread 1 tube rolls on bottom of 9x12 pan.  Beat sugar, egg & cream cheese.  Spread on top of pan and put 2nd tube of rolls on.  Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

 

 

Nacho Cheese Dip

2 lbs. Velveeta cheese

8 oz. jar picante sauce mild (or less medium)

8 oz. tomato sauce

1 small onion

4 oz. can diced green chiles (or less)

Optional black olives

 

 

Chocolate Chip Cookies

2 cups brown sugar

1 1/4 cup white sugar

2 cups shortening

4 eggs

2 tsp. vanilla

5 cups flour

2 tsp. soda

1 tsp. salt

1 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Bake at 360 degrees for 12 minutes

 

 

Rhubarb Crunch

1 1/2 cups flour

3/4 cup melted oleo

1 1/4 cups oatmeal

1 1/2 cup brown sugar

1 tsp. cinnamon

Combine ingredients until crumbly.  Pack mixture in 9 x 13 pan over cut rhubarb to cover pan.  Bake at 350 degrees for one hour.

 

 

Breakfast Bake

1 package of Mr. Dell’s shredded hash browns

1 package (2 cups) shredded cheddar cheese

1 can sliced mushrooms, drained

Onion flakes to taste

Cubed ham

Mix together: 1 can cream of chicken soup, 1 container of sour cream.  Pour over potato mixture and mix together.  Put in greased pan.  Melt 2 Tbls. butter & crush about a cup or so of corn flakes.  Mix together, put over top of potato mixture.

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour with tin foil.  Uncover last 15 minutes of baking time.

 

 

Shrimp Dip

1 block of cream cheese

3/4 cup cocktail sauce

1 small bag shrimp

Spread cream cheese on plate.  Top with cocktail sauce and shrimp. 

Serve with crackers of your choice.

 

 

Layer Hot Dish

1 lb. hamburger

1/4 cup minced onion

Dash of pepper

4-5 potatoes, sliced

1 can pork & beans

1 can tomato soup

Press uncooked hamburger in bottom of greased casserole.  Sprinkle with onion and a few shakes of pepper.  Spread sliced potatoes over onion.  Cover with pork & beans.  Pour tomato soup on top of all.  Bake covered at 325 degrees for 1 hour or until cooked through.

 

 

 

Fruit Frog Eye Salad

2 cans fruit cocktail (drain juice)

2 cans crushed pineapple (drain juice)

2 cans mandarin oranges (drain juice)

1/2 box acuni de pepe pasta

1 package mini marshmallows

1 large container of whip cream

1 cups fruit juice

1/2 tsp. salt

1 cup sugar

2 Tbsp. flour or cornstarch

3 eggs beaten

 

 

Green Jello Salad

1 small package cream cheese

1 package lime jello thickened

1 small can pineapple (crushed)

1/2 pint cool whip or whipping cream

Cream cheese and add pineapple and nuts (optional)

When jello is set, add to above, fold in whip cream and mix well

 

 

Crock Pot Mushrooms

1 lb. butter (melted)

6 oz. package mushrooms

2 packages of Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing

Put mushrooms in crock pot, melt butter and stir in the Hidden Valley Ranch dressing.  Pour on top of mushrooms.  Cook 1 hour on high, and 1 hour on low.

 

 

Swiss Mocha

To make one serving:  2 tsp. Swiss Mocha Mix, 8 oz. (1 cup) boiling water, whipped cream, optional.  Place the Swiss Mocha Mix in a mug.  Pour boiling water over the mixture.  Stir until the mix is completely dissolved.  If desired, garnish with whipped cream.

 

 

Veggie Lasagna

6 lasagna noodles - boiled

1 large bag of California veggies (thaw, don’t cook)

24 oz. cottage cheese

8 oz. sour cream & 1 can of cream of celery (mix together)

8 oz. mozzarella cheese

Layer: Noodles, cottage cheese, sour cream/soup, cheese - 2X

Bake for 1 hour on 350 degrees

Cover with aluminum foil for the first 1/2 hour

Let stand 10 minutes before serving.

 

 

Strawberry Fluff

1 box angel food cake

1 box strawberry jello

12 oz. frozen strawberries

1 box vanilla pudding

1 carton of cool whip

Break angel food cake apart in pan, mix 1 cup boiling water with jello & pour over cake.  Top  with thawed strawberries.  Put vanilla pudding over top  with cool whip & serve.

 

 

Lite Chocolate Layered Dessert

Bake a chocolate cake in a 9x13 pan

Cool & cut into 1 inch squares

Layer in a large clear bowl: 1 layer of cake cubes, 1 layer chocolate pudding, 1 layer cool-whip, 1 layer sliced strawberries

Repeat layers with strawberries arranged decoratively.

Cottage cheese salad

1 bowl of cool whip

1 jello, any flavor

1 pint cottage cheese

2 cups miniature marshmallows

1 can pineapple - do not drain juice

 

 

Tator Tot Hot Dish

2 lbs. hamburger

I can cheddar cheese soup

1 can cream of mushroom soup

1 can, 15 oz. veg all (original) veggies

1 small bag tator tots

1 bag of shredded mild cheddar cheese

Brown hamburger (drain).  Combine all ingredients except tots and put into cake pan.  Spread tots over top of mixed ingredients and cook for 45 minutes at 350 degrees.

 

 

Buttermilk Brownies

2 cups flour

2 cups sugar

1/3 cup cocoa

1 cup buttermilk

1/2 cup butter

1/2 cup water

1/2 tsp. baking soda

1/4 tsp. salt

Bring to boil water, butter & cocoa.  Take off burner add buttermilk.  Add to dry ingredients.  Mix well (will be runny).  Pour into 13x11 pan bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees.

 

 

Venison Pasta Sauce

Cube 1 to 1 1/2 lbs. venison (or beef)

Add 8 ounces of your favorite mushrooms  Quickly brown in olive oil.  Deglaze pan with port.  Add about 1/2 cup more port.  Thicken with 1 1/2 Tbsp. of cornstarch dissolved in 2 Tbsp. water.

Serve over pasta.  Sprinkle with feta cheese.

 

 

Potato Chip Potatoes

6 medium potatoes cut in 1/2” cubes

1/2 cup chopped onion

1/2 cup potato chips (crushed)

Salt & pepper

2 Tbsp. melted butter

Combine all ingredients.  Put in greased 2 quart casserole.  Top with additional 1/4 cup crushed potato chips.  Bake uncovered 40-50 minutes at 350 degrees.

 

 

Corn Hot Dish

1 can whole kernel corn

1 can cream style corn

1 cup macaroni

1 stick of butter or margarin

1 cup velveeta cheese

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.  Sprinkle ritz crackers on top when done.

 

 

Cranberry Chicken

Preheat over to 300 degrees

Use up to 8 chicken breasts in single layer.

Combine & mix: 1 - 16oz. jellied cranberries

8 oz. Dorothy Lynch dressing

1 package dry onion soup mix.  Pour this mixture over chicken.

Cover tightly with foil.  Bake 1 1/2 hours.  Uncover, bake 1/2 hour or more until cooked through.

 

 

Snicker Apple Salad Dessert

3 oz. package of instant french vanilla pudding

1 cup milk

3 snicker bars

3 granny smith apples (unpeeled)

8 oz. cool whip

Mix pudding with milk.  Fold in cool whip and add chopped snickers and apples. 

 

 

Pico Degello

2 cans of small diced tomatoes (drained)

1 1/2 onions, chopped small

Cilantro (cut with scissors)

1/2 tsp. tabasco

Sea salt to taste.  Chill for 6 hours for flavors to mix.

Can be put on french bread with mozzarella cheese & toasted for bruschetta.

 

 

Pizza Muffins

Grand biscuits

1 lb. hamburger (or pepperoni, etc.)

1 cup mozzarella cheese

1 jar of pizza sauce

Divide each biscuit in half, put in muffin tin.  Mix pizza sauce with hamburger and spread onto biscuit.  Top with cheese.  Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes.

 

 

Summertime Slushy

1 can frozen limeade (small)

1 can frozen lemonade (large)

Mix together add light Bacardi Rum (to taste) or fruit flavored rum

Freeze and keep in freezer

Scoop out into size glass you prefer.  Add diet 7-Up or ginger ale.

 

 

Peanut Butter Balls

1 cup peanut butter

1 cup corn syrup

6 cups rice krispies

Bring peanut butter & corn syrup to a boil, then add rice krispies.  While warm, scoop into balls and drop on wax paper.

 

 

Cheese Ball

8 oz. cream cheese

1 tsp. worchshire sauce

1/2 tsp. seasoning salt

Ham-minced

Mix cheese, worchshire sauce, 1/2 tsp. salt together with 1/2 ham mixture.  Form into ball then roll into remaining ham.
